Alpine World Ascents offers the full array of rock climbing instructional classes designed for all levels of experience. In order to meet your specific needs and expectations, we offer all course as custom designed private arrangements. All courses are taught by AMGA and IFMGA certified rock guides. All our rock climbing classes are taught outside though we may utilize an indoor climbing gym in case of inclement weather if need be. Eldorado and Boulder Canyon are world class rock climbing destinations, a great place to improve or learn new skills. We may be able to accommodate other locations as well - in the past we have also worked in places such as Red Rocks, Squamish, Bugaboos, Potrero Chico, European Alps, etc. Cost- private arrangement only: $275 1 person per day plus $50 per additional person - All gear provided as needed. Intro Rock
An exhilarating adventure, come experience the vertical world! This fun course is designed for those who are curious about outdoor rock climbing and want an introduction to rock climbing. We cover safety aspects, specific climbing movements and belay techniques. Instead of an instructional course, you may also choose to simply experience the thrill and adventure on a guided climb.
Toprope Anchors
This hands-on course provides the technical knowledge necessary to safely rig anchors for toprope climbing and rappelling. Equipment selection, safety management, gear selection and placement, movement techniques, gear placements and anchor systems, ground and top belays, rappelling and lowering are all covered.
Traditional Lead Climbing
Take your skills to the next level and become a safe and competent sport and traditional lead climber. Learn about placing protection, setting up advanced anchors, basic climbing physics, lead strategies and rappelling. Special emphasis is put on making the crucial step from indoor to outdoor climbing by including hazard assessment and risk management strategies.

Multi-Pitch Climbing
If you already know how to safely lead climb, learn the tricks of the trade to climb the big rock faces of the world! This class teaches you the skills and efficiency necessary to cruise grade IV-VI traditional routes: Equipment selection, lead strategies, transitions, basic aid, multi rappels and advanced rappelling techniques
Self Rescue for Climbers
Climbing up high on a rock face- especially in remote areas- places the responsibility of avoiding and escaping trouble on your own. Learn the essentials of accident prevention and high-angle rescue for rock climbers. We cover a wide range of topics including escaping the belay, load transfers, passing a knot, ascending a rope, constructing a pulley system, assisted rappells and lowers, etc, to manage complex scenarios like rescuing an injured leader several pitches up a route.
