Fully Customized Group & Private Guided Trips:
Nepal

The draw to climb in Nepal reaches deeply into the soul of mountain lovers everywhere. The highest peaks in the world rest in Nepal’s Himalaya, and the ancient Buddhist and Hindu roots are their own attraction. Come travel with us in one of our favorite corners of the world.

Mountains to Monasteries

Journey to the inner heart of Nepal and discover yourself on this women’s-only trek in the Khumbu/Numbur Himal. We begin in Phaplu, with local Sherpas as guides and porters and finish three weeks later in Jiri. We particularly like the Numbur Himal because it’s overlooked by most Westerners and, consequently, is quieter than the more heavily traveled circuits. We’ll visit five mountain monasteries as well as make a pilgrimage to a sacred lake, all the while immersing ourselves in the Buddhist-Nepalese-Tibetan culture. We begin each day with an optional group meditation and/or yoga practice. This is a slightly slower-paced trek and at lower elevations, with rest days and optional day hikes incorporated.

Cost includes: All hotels in Kathmandu, airport transfers, all fully insured staff (guide, Sherpas, cook, kitchen staff and porters), all food and fuel, all group equipment (tents, etc.), all trek permits and National Park entrance fees and all required ground and/or air transportation. Cost does not include: Airfare to/from Kathmandu, visas, airport taxes, excess baggage and food in Kathmandu, alcohol, soft drinks, laundry, tipping, equipment and items of a personal nature.

Mera & Island Peak

We'll climb Nepal’s most popular trekking peaks, giving us inspiring views of Everest and its towering neighbors, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. We follow the Hinku Valley to the base of Mera (21,246ft/6476m), Nepal’s tallest trekking peak. Then, we’ll take several days to arrive via remote valleys and windswept passes before arriving at Island Peak (20,305ft/6189m). On our return to Kathmandu, we can visit Everest Base Camp.

Four Summits - Khumbu Region

This beautiful and demanding trip ventures to the heart of the Khumbu, where we’ll visit Everest Base Camp and climb four stunning “trekking” peaks. First, we tackle Pokalde (19,049ft/5806m) for acclimatization and practice. Next, we’ll venture onto the slopes of Island Peak (20,305ft/6189m) and Lobuje East (20,076ft/6119m), two beautiful summits in the area and finally, we cross the Amphu Labsta pass before ascending Mera Peak (21,247ft/6476m), Nepal’s highest trekking summit.
